There are picturesque wedding venues and there is Mohonk Mountain House. Stepping into this Hudson Valley wedding venue is a feast for the eyes. From granite cliffs nestled in pines to the awe-inspiring lake, it is a photographer’s playground. I have been fortunate to have photographed a number of weddings here over the years and it simply never gets old. Cathy & Stephen’s Summer wedding encapsulated everything beautiful about Mohonk Mountain House.
It is an absolute treat being a Hudson Valley wedding photographer because of the sheer number of incredible wedding venues in the region. When Cathy & Stephen contacted me saying they were planning a Summer wedding at Mohonk Mountain House, I could not have been more excited. Photography was at the top of the list for them so I knew we’d have plenty of time to explore the various settings during their wedding so when I floated the idea of getting into a canoe during their cocktail hour, there was no hesitation. We made some absolutely incredible photos.
